The 2018 Nissan GT-R GT3 is a high-performance race car developed by Nissan. It’s based on the Nissan GT-R road car, but it’s significantly lighter and designed to compete in the GT3 racing series.

The GT-R GT3 is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, which delivers over 550 horsepower to the wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox. The engine is a modified version of the one used in Nissan’s 2015 Le Mans racer. The car’s weight distribution has been optimized and the center of gravity lowered by mounting the engine 150mm further back and lower than in the 2015 model.

The car features a large rear wing and wider wheel arches to improve on-track grip, and a rear diffuser that’s more complex than the one on the older version of the racing car. The car utilizes full carbon fiber exterior paneling to mimic the road car lines and allows for a significant reduction in weight, while tying in some key aerodynamic developments.

The GT-R GT3 also gets electric assistance, with some form of electric propulsion and battery pack added to the twin-turbo V6. The road car’s 4WD system is omitted – GT3 is RWD only.

The 2018 Nissan GT-R GT3 made its debut in the 2018 season and has been a testament to the performance and reliability of Nissan’s racing technology.
