Acura NSX Zanardi Edition (1999)
Special limited run edition of the NSX to celebrate Alex Zanardi's success in CART.
Fifty-one cars were made, with Zanardi #0 being a press car, and with Zanardi #1 belonging to Alex Zanardi.
The rest of the cars were available to the public through select dealers. The suspension package was also available for order as a standalone package.
Only sold in New Formula Red with an Onyx interior and fixed roof.
Several minor weight reduction measures were taken and the car was sold with lightweight BBS RG255 and RG256 wheels, similar to the NSX Type S RG255A and RG256A wheels, and had suspension from the NSX Type S with uprated control arm bushings, springs, dampers and rear stabilizer compared to a standard car. Brakes are upgraded to 1997 spec with larger rotors and different piston sizes. Electronic power steering rack was replaced by a manual rack.
Power delivery is accomplished via the same 3.2L C32B1 engine with Helical differential and 6MT transmission as found on standard NA2 cars alongside upgraded TCS and DBW throttle.
