Description:
Ichijo's Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR Tommi Mäkinen Edition (CP9A), known as the Lan Evo, or as the Evo VI, is the signature vehicle of Ichijo, the downhill driver for a Tsuchisaka based Lancer Evolution racing team.

In order to promote a car shop that they are associated with, Ichijo and Aikawa plan to battle against Project D on Tsuchisaka. Aiming to play dirty, the two of them organise everything so that practise runs will be separate. Taking advantage of this, the duo have a few men pour oil onto the road, which causes Keisuke Takahashi to crash. Keisuke is still able to race by using a borrowed car, and wins his battle against Aikawa. Before his race with Takumi Fujiwara, Ichijo tells him that Aikawa had called a gang to come and beat him and the other members of Project D up, unless Takumi loses the race.

Ichijo starts the battle in the lead, with Takumi trailing behind. Throughout the race Ichijo attempts to widen the gap between the two cars, but Takumi manages to keep up, unfazed by his earlier threats. Takumi realises his opponents weakness when braking, and aims to pass him on the outside, but just as he tries to overtake Ichijo hits the oil spill, causing him to lose grip, allowing Takumi to pass on the inside. Ichijo attempts to overtake on a straight but pulls back before they enter a corner, however Takumi maintains speed, drifting through the turn.

The car is a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR Tommi Mäkinen Edition, chassis code CP9A. It is painted in Scotia White.

Engine
The Evo VI is fitted with a 4G63T, a turbocharged engine. The engine had 280HP and a displacement of 1997cc.
